Program Studi Magister Teknik Sipil Universitas Janabadra sukses menyelenggarakan Kuliah Umum Kapita Selekta yang menghadirkan dua pakar di bidang teknik sipil sebagai narasumber. Acara yang berlangsung di Executive Room Kampus Pingit Universitas Janabadra ini dihadiri oleh lebih dari 100 mahasiswa serta dosen dari program S1 dan S2 Teknik Sipil (offline dan online).
Kuliah umum ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Dekan Fakultas Teknik, Fatsyahrina Fitriastuti, S.Si., M.T., yang dalam sambutannya menekankan pentingnya penguatan wawasan akademik dan praktis bagi mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan pembangunan infrastruktur berkelanjutan. Diskusi pada kuliah umum ini dipandu oleh Dr. (Cand) Nur Ayu Diana, dosen Prodi Teknik Sipil Universitas Janabadra.
Sesi pertama menghadirkan Ir. Hendy Setiawan, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., IPM, yang membawakan materi bertajuk “Geoteknik Terowongan dan Dinamika Gerakan Tanah”. Dalam pemaparannya, beliau menjelaskan berbagai aspek teknis dan tantangan geoteknik dalam pembangunan terowongan, serta bagaimana dinamika gerakan tanah memengaruhi stabilitas struktur bawah tanah.
Sesi kedua diisi oleh Dr. Nindyo Cahyo Kresnanto, S.T., M.T., yang membahas tema “Sustainable Transportation di Kawasan Sumbu Filosofi Yogyakarta”. Materi ini menyoroti pentingnya perencanaan transportasi yang berkelanjutan dalam mendukung kawasan bersejarah, serta strategi pengelolaan mobilitas yang dapat menjaga keseimbangan antara kebutuhan transportasi dan pelestarian budaya.
Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa dan dosen mendapatkan wawasan mendalam tentang tantangan serta inovasi dalam bidang geoteknik dan transportasi berkelanjutan.
